so you are a new member or guest in acceptus marauders, here you will find almost all you need to know about the site, from the rules to even the full plotline. we also placed the canon list here, along with any major subplots that are going along the site. to continue that, we also have the open and taken teaching spots, along with the credits and of course staff listings.

we do have a news section in the side tables, but we mostly used for minor sites updates. bigger ones, along with daily prophet sections are of course placed here. we also may post here our activity checks when we have them, please make sure you don't miss them. even if we tell you when an announcement has been made, you should always keep this board on the watch.

no site is perfect and things sometimes need to be changed or updated. we love to hear what our members and guest have to say about it, so if you have any suggestions please post them here. also if you have any questions, you can also post them in here.

well this is the staff board, so members nor guest are allowed inside. it is password protected and we also have an army of flying monkeys and voldemort guarding it. so don't try to sneak in, unless you have bananas and muggleborns. not but really, staff only.

this will be the board were you need to post you application, this should be the only board that you are allowed to post in if you haven't been accepted, unless you have questions. please do not move to claim anything until you are accepted. any posts made without been accepted will be removed and ignored. also make sure you post your application in the right place.

once yoir character is approved by the staff, the application is moved to this board. once you're accepted you can make changes to your profiles, but the staff needs to me notified about this changes.

once your character is accepted you may claim all they need, including their play by, abilities, hogwarts quidditch positions and more. you can also request for other people to role play with you and fill out some plot pages.

if you like to send an owl to another member you can do it here. owl posts do not need to feel out our posting requirement, they do still count as in character post and as activity. in other words, this one of the simplest ways to be active if you don't have much muse.

the hufflepuff common room is accessed through a painting near the kitchens. it is a very cosy and welcoming place, with yellow hangings, and fat armchairs, and little underground tunnels leading to the dormitories, all of which have perfectly round doors, like barrel tops.

slytherind dungeon is located in the dungeons, a password needs to be spoken to enter it; then a passage is revealed leading to the common room a low-ceilinged, dungeon-like room with greenish lamps and chairs. the common room has lots of low backed black and dark green leather sofas with buttons, skulls, and dark wood cupboards.

located behind the portrait of the fat lady on the seventh floor of hogwarts castle. a password is required to enter it, which is spoken to the portrait. A circular hole is behind the painting, leading to the common room, which is a circular room where gryffindor students can relax after a long day of studying. the common room is full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board.

the staircase leading up to the common room is presumably located on the fifth floor, and is the location of the ravenclaw common room and dormitories. The entrance to the room is at the top of a spiral staircase, and is a door without doorknob or keyhole but a bronze knocker in the shape of an eagle. In order to enter the room, a person must answer a question asked by the eagle knocker.

located on the ground floor of hogwarts, with a wide marble staircase opposite the oak doors. double doors to the right lead into the great hall. The hufflepuff common room, the kitchens, the dungeons, and the grand staircase can also be accessed via the entrance hall. there is also an annex off the hall where first years wait for the sorting ceremony.

the main gathering area in the school. students eat their meals, receive daily owl post, and have certain special events. the great hall is a large hall that can easily hold all of the schools students, staff, and guests. it has tall walls that reach up to the ceiling, which is covered with candles and enchanted to look like the sky above.

a massive structure in hogwarts, mainly used to access each floor of the castle, including the dungeons. there are hundreds of portraits covering the walls in this tower, some of which conceal secret passages to other areas within the school. the multiple staircases in the grand staircase like to move around, from platform to platform. the stairs go as high as the seventh floor where they come to an end.

hogwarts gives home to a variety of subjects, all taking place all around the castle. the potions classes are in the dungeons. care of magical creatures and herbology both are taken outside in the grounds. one around the forbidden forest, while the other has its own greenhouses.

a secret room in hogwarts' seventh floor that only appears when a person is in great need of it. the room then transforms itself into whatever the witch or wizard needs it to be at that moment, although there are some limitations. it is believed that the room is unplottable, as it does not appear on the marauder's map, nor do its occupants.

bathrooms, located all over the school for everyones use. unfortunately the perfect bathroom is off limit to other students, other than quidditch captains. another bathroom that is off limit is moaning myrtle, since she hunts the place and almost no student or staff can't stand much time inside.

located at the fourth floor of hogwarts and contains tens of thousands of books on thousands of shelves. overseen by madam irma pince, the library is where students can go to peruse or borrow books to supplement their studies or for personal enjoyment. the library closes at 8:00 pm.

ran by madam poppy pomfrey, the school's matron. students and presumably the staff, who suffer mishaps and injuries during the school year are sent or brought to the hospital wing for treatment. the hospital wing is well equipped to deal with all kinds of magical and mundane injuries, from broken limbs to regrowing lost bones.

the dungeons of hogwarts are located under the school, and it is colder there than up in the main castle. the potions classroom, kitchens and chamber of secrets are located in the dungeons, as is the entrance to the slytherin common room and dormitories.

hogwarts contains many towers, including the headmaster office. the common rooms for ravenclaw and gryffindor are also founded in here. along with that, we have in here the owerly and arthimancy and divination classrooms.

students use this to get to the grounds of hogwarts when they come from hogsmeade or to of course go to hogsmeade.

a large body of water located to the south of the castle. it is about half a mile in diameter and the hogwarts plumbing network drains into it. It is home to a giant squid, grindylows, and a colony of merpeople.

hogwarts' own personal quidditch pitch, the house teams use it for practice and official games. the flying lessons take place in here.

serves as home to rubeus hangrid and many of his creatures during his time of work in hogwarts. students are always welcomed to give him a visit, he actually loves them a lot.

surrounding most of the school, they can easily take you anywhere all over the place, from the lake to even the forbidden forest itself.

as its name suggests, it is strictly off limits to students - except in the case of detention, or care of magical creatures lessons that occasionally take place there.

a very valuable, very violent tree planted alone in the middle of the school grounds. it is advised for students to stay away from it.

the only all-wizarding village left in britain. students may sometimes come on weekend trips, but only third year students and above with guardian permission are allowed to visit.

a village in the west country of england. It is a small community, which centers on a village square with only a church, a post office, a pub, and a few retail shops.

the headquarters of the ministry of magic, located deep underground in london.

a wizarding hospital in london, england. muggles are unable to visit the hospital, unless a wizard is with them.

muggle london is pretty much everything that doesn't take place within the wizard community. even if your post isn't in london you are free to post in here, as long as it takes place in a muggle location.

our site takes place in 1975, but taht doesn't mean all of our threads need to take place during that time. here you can make threads that take place in the past, threads made here count as IC posts.
